For instance, the Honda CR-V series, the Ford F-150, the Range Rover, and the Dodge Ram. These are four brands that are very high in terms of the number of stolen vehicles we recover. Most of them happen to be these vehicles. So, obviously, if you are going to purchase one of those vehicles, that should be a red flag for you,\u201d Mr. Siamah stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1446\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Newer_Models_Raise_Suspicion\"><\/span>Newer Models Raise Suspicion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1648\">EOCO has also observed a new trend where <strong data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1513\">2023 and 2024 models<\/strong> are being sold in unusually pristine condition, diverging from the traditional importation of salvaged or accident-damaged vehicles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1825\">Mr. Siamah cautioned buyers to be wary of <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1732\">\u201ctoo new and accident-free\u201d vehicles<\/strong>, stressing that such conditions should trigger <strong data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"1822\">extra verification steps with Interpol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"2118\">\n<p data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"2118\">\u201cIf you look at one of those vehicles that was recently released, maybe a 2023 or 2024 model, which is accident-free, it should be a red flag for you. That should point you to doing extra checks \u2014 for instance, go to Interpol to find out whether that car\u2019s status is stolen,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-start=\"2120\" data-end=\"2152\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Not_Limited_to_Four_Brands\"><\/span>Not Limited to Four Brands<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2154\" data-end=\"2285\">While these four vehicle brands dominate EOCO\u2019s recoveries, Mr. Siamah clarified that investigations are <strong data-start=\"2259\" data-end=\"2282\">not limited to them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2287\" data-end=\"2469\">\n<p data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2469\">\u201cWould you go after a Toyota Corolla, for instance? Yes. We\u2019ve gone after a couple of Toyota Highlanders and Honda Accords.
